Freedom Fest 2014 will be Saturday, June 28, 2014. Gates open at 11:00 a.m. Our free health clinic will run from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Freedom Fest started as a “backyard BBQ” in 2002 and has developed into one of the largest community events in the Janesville, Wisconsin area. It grew from a few friends and church family into a full-blown festival. It has been estimated that between 25,000 and 30,000 people attend Freedom Fest. We have great attractions, delicious food, and fabulous stage performances. And, the best thing about it is it’s free! We don’t charge admission; we don’t charge to park; we don’t charge for any rides; we don’t charge for the concert; and, we don’t charge for the fireworks. Even our food vendors’ prices are discounted from a normal festival. That means you can enjoy a fabulous day of fun and entertainment without hurting the pocket!
Over the last couple of years, we have also incorporated our Day of Compassion component to Freedom Fest. Now, because of Mercy Health Systems’ generosity, we are able to offer a free health clinic on the day of Freedom Fest. This clinic offers various health screenings and educational seminars. We have a children’s area where things are geared specifically for them, like a petting zoo, face painting, and jump houses. There are carnival rides for the more adventurous, a rock climbing wall for the daring, and stage entertainment for those who just want to relax. And, of course, at the end of the night, we have an incredible fireworks display.
So, come join us at our family-friendly, Christ-honoring, patriotic event!
